RN - NICU
Job SummaryProvides specialized nursing care to premature, critically ill, and medically fragile newborns in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Monitors neonatal conditions, administers treatments, and supports the care and development of newborns.
Education & Experience- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Minimum 1 year of NICU or neonatal nursing experience (Preferred)
- Current RN license in state of practice (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (Required)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (Preferred)
- Performs comprehensive assessments and continuously monitors newborns for changes in condition.
- Monitors vital signs, oxygen levels, respiratory status, and other neonatal parameters.
- Administers medications, IV therapy, nutrition, and other treatments as prescribed.
- Provides care for premature and critically ill newborns using appropriate neonatal equipment.
- Assists with respiratory support, procedures, and neonatal emergencies.
- Maintains thermoregulation, infection prevention, and safe positioning of newborns.
- Educates and supports parents and families regarding neonatal care and treatment.
- Documents assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record.
