From initially selling and servicing fire extinguishers, we have transformed ourselves into a full‑service fire and life safety corporation, specializing in sprinkler system testing, repair and installation; kitchen and restaurant systems; fire alarm design, installation and service; back‑flow prevention devices; full service alarm monitoring; fire pump repair and installation; underground hydrant repairs and installation; and many other services.
Job TypeFull‑time.
Responsibilities- Perform annual inspections on fire extinguishers per NFPA 10.
- Appropriately retag extinguishers after completing inspections.
- Perform fire extinguisher repairs, maintenance, and upgrades including recharges and 6‑year internal inspections.
- Perform 12‑year hydro test.
- Install and wall‑hangers, brackets, and mount surface cabinets for extinguishers.
- Provide professional opinion regarding hanger and bracket use to mount fire extinguishers.
- Consult and advise customers regarding potential safety issues or the need for additional fire extinguishers.
- Complete and produce reports that are legible, accurate and detailed prior to leaving the job site and ensure the customer provides a signature.
- Invoice paperwork in a timely manner.
- Update and complete Building Reports, for inventory purposes, while performing work.
- Keep tools and equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, etc.
- Ensure proper stock of parts and equipment on company‑issued vehicle.
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and complaints.
- Train, mentor, and coach other FX Technicians and new hires.
- Stay current with code requirements and industry changes.
- Attend and complete all required trainings, including safety training.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- High School Diploma / GED.
- 3+ years prior, relevant work experience.
- 1+ year training / coaching experience.
- Able to work flexible hours including on‑call rotation, nights, and weekends to meet customer needs.
- Able to carry and move tools and equipment weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Able to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb ladders multiple times a day.
- Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions – climbing ladders, scaffolding and high‑lift equipment up to 40 ft, working within ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
- Able to travel to multiple job sites each day.
- High precision / detail‑oriented.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently, with little supervision.
- Knowledge of fire systems and tools.
- Works effectively and efficiently while performing all aspects of the required job.
- CSA Certification.
- NICET Certification.
- OSHA Certification.
- Knowledge of Profit Zoom, Building Reports, and Paylocity.
- Bilingual – specifically Spanish.
