Mainline Excavator Operator

Hunter Contracting, specializing in civil infrastructure, is seeking an experienced Mainline Excavator Operator responsible for operating various types of construction equipment to

Responsible for

• Working to precise standards to excavate line and grade for Mainline Waterline.
• Excavates around existing utilities, to install Mainline and backfill piping.
• Must have knowledge of pothole procedure, pipeline and grade compaction requirements.
• Inspecting equipment for deficiencies, such as tires, lights, brakes, fuses and fluid levels, and submits report indicating equipment condition.
• Ensure trench is excavated tothe proper depth/grade
• Be aware of proper rigging of pipe, manhole barrels, etc. and ensure safe work procedures are followed during the lowering of materials into the excavation.

Work Qualifications

• Has a great deal of awareness of soil conditions and proper slopes.
• Knowledge and understanding of Blue Stake markings.
• Takes pride in craftsmanship, works within precise standards of accuracy

Education & Work Experience Requirements:

• At least 10 years of experience strongly preferred.
