Driver,P&D Responsibilities
- Pick up, transport, and deliver freight locally according to dispatch instructions and load documentation.
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of the tractor and trailer to ensure safe working conditions.
- Verify vehicle documentation, including VIN, and ensure the vehicle matches the shipment request.
- Inspect vehicles before and during trips to identify and report malfunctioning equipment or hazardous material compliance issues.
- Operate a tractor‑trailer safely within DOT regulations, including hours of service, inspection, maintenance, and hazardous materials handling.
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and maintain required logs and records.
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers and the general public.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including dock work, loading/unloading freight, and operating pallet jacks or forklifts as needed.
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 25 years of age and have a minimum of two years consecutive tractor‑trailer driving experience.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License;
Haz Mat, Tanker, and Doubles endorsements preferred. - Registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and able to pass a road test.
- Capable of operating all safety and operational functions of a tractor‑trailer, including manual transmission and manual coupling of trailers.
- Acceptable MVR, state motor vehicle law knowledge, and FMCSA rule compliance.
- Eligible to work in the United States; EFW will not sponsor work authorization for this position.

The employee frequently lifts, twists, turns, climbs, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls and talks or hears.
The employee frequently sits and climbs or balances.
Work involves moving mechanical parts and airborne particles. Exposure may include high or precarious places, hazardous materials, and various weather conditions. Noise level ranges from quiet to loud as required by the essential functions of the job. Terrain exposure includes mountains, steep inclined roads, curvy highways, desert areas, bridges, and tunnels.
