CSI Recruiting is working with one of the country’s leading independent operating companies on the need for an experienced and trusted Facilities Engineer to live and work in Gillette, Wyoming.

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for leading the development of designs and drawings for area-specific water and production facilities, ensuring adherence to diverse government regulations while optimizing flow efficiency and hydrocarbon recovery.

The role involves evaluating and designing water pipelines and treatment facilities, addressing current and future water management needs, and modeling field-wide water systems for sustainable water management.

The role manages detailed cost estimates and construction timing for produced water disposal facilities, produced water and fresh water pipelines, troubleshoots mechanical failures, and collaborates with EHS for air quality management through dispersal modeling and emissions abatement.

  • Leads the development of designs and drawings for fresh water and produced water pipelines, produced water treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with diverse government regulations and optimizing flow efficiency and hydrocarbon recovery.
  • Evaluates and addresses current and future water management needs and models and designs field-wide water gathering and distribution systems, maximizing water reuse for sustainable water management.
  • Troubleshoots mechanical failures in production equipment, demonstrating expertise in resolving complex operational challenges and collaborating with safety, environmental, and field operations personnel to optimize well site safety and environmental performance and address current and future electrical infrastructure needs for production operations, including utility power and local generation.
  • Provides electrical system inputs for production and saltwater disposal facilities, collaborating with electrical engineering/field I&E.
  • Evaluates and addresses current and future electrical infrastructure needs for production operations, including utility power and local generation.
  • Collaborates with water operations and completions teams on optimizing water reuse for completions activity, including modeling frac water volumes, water storage usage, and fresh, produced, and reuse water recharge rates.
  • Evaluates water chemistry to optimize water usage for completion activities to allow for minimal fresh water required.
  • Collaborates with EHS on air dispersant modeling using commercial software programs as well as on air emissions abatement by evaluating, designing, and modifying controls, enhancing hydrocarbon recoveries, thereby contributing to air quality management.
Requirements

EDUCATION:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil) or any other related discipline and/or commensurate work experience is required.
EXPERIENCE:
  • 7+ years of relevant experience working as a Facilities Engineer or a combination of facilities, operations, production, and construction engineering.
