• Perform MRI scans of the brain, spine, joints, and other body areas as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and high-quality imaging.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and addressing concerns.
• Administer contrast agents per protocols under physician supervision.
• Ensure that images meet diagnostic standards and are reviewed for quality.
• Monitor patients during procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety

• Follow all MRI safety protocols
  , including screening patients for implants or devices that may interfere with scans.
• Maintain a clean and organized MRI suite.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.

• Operate and troubleshoot MRI imaging equipment as needed.
• Maintain detailed patient records
  , ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Stay current with advancements in MRI technology and best practices
  .

• Work closely with physicians, radiologists, and healthcare staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated in MRI imaging techniques
  .

• Education: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Medical Imaging
  , or a related field (
  Bachelor’s degree preferred
  ).
• Certifications:
• Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography (R) and MRI (MR) or eligibility to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
• State licensure as required by local regulations.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  .
• Additional MRI imaging certifications preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with at least 1 year of specialized experience in MRI imaging
  .
• Experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.

• Strong knowledge of MRI equipment, imaging techniques, and safety protocols
  .
• Excellent understanding of human anatomy and medical terminology
  .
• Ability to operate complex MRI machines and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to assess image quality for diagnostic purposes
  .
• Excellent patient care skills
  , including the ability to explain procedures and reassure patients.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Physical Requirements:
• Heavy work – exerting up to 25 lbs of force constantly

• Possible magnetic field exposure and frequent contact with contaminated needles and infectious substances

• Requires the ability to work designated shift lengths (8 and 12 hours).
