YES House (Youth Emergency Services, Inc.) is a private, non‑profit agency located in Gillette, Wyoming, dedicated to empowering youth and families to achieve lifelong success. We provide a wide range of services for young people aged 5 to 21 and their families, including residential treatment for emotional well‑being, in‑house substance abuse treatment, counseling, and youth advocacy. Our mission is to offer support through programs such as the 24‑hour Crisis Shelter, independent living programs, and specialized foster care.
YES House is committed to keeping families together whenever possible and appropriate.
- Conduct regular comprehensive grant funding searches for all programs and top priority project areas as identified by the organization
- Provide insight and expertise into grant opportunities and fundable proposals
- Develop strong funding proposals for federal, state, local, and private grant applications
- Effectively present the qualifications of the Y.E.S. House and the project team in written form
- Research and present evidence for the need for and effectiveness of Y.E.S. House programming to funders
- Present project designs, implementation plans and timelines, staffing plans, evaluation methods, and dissemination approaches in project proposals
- Acquire and attach appropriate appendices for grant proposals
- Communicate project timelines and deadlines with appropriate staff, ensuring staff are alerted to new funding opportunities in a timely fashion
- Work closely with community partners in crafting joint applications
- Ensure timely and complete submissions of applications
- Communicate professionally and amicably with potential funders or other application support staff before and after submission of proposals
- Participate in activities during the proposal review process such as funder site visits
- Participate in monitoring and audit activities with the Grant Coordinator and other key program staff
- Understand and contribute to the organization of grant files, including applications and contracts, MOUs and Letters of Support, organizational policies and procedures, performance reports and financial records, etc.
- Attend staff meetings and organizational events as encouraged
- Engage in professional development opportunities such as reading, classes, workshops, conferences, etc.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of staff, client, and organizational information and always abide by professional ethics
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, databases, and software navigation
- Excellent writing, grammar, and communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Self‑motivated, dependable, and capable of independent work
- Ethical decision‑making and professional demeanor in all interactions
- Positive work ethic, adaptable attitude, and commitment to team collaboration
- Attention to detail, initiative, and proactive approach to identifying funding opportunities
