Job DescriptionAre you looking for an exciting career with a stable company? Wood is currently recruiting for an I&E Technician to join our team working near Upton, Wyoming. This position would be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing Control and Electrical systems as well as communications networks.
Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship is required.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and repair all plant instrumentation.
- Troubleshoot and repair Control and Electrical systems. (PLCs, transmitters, control wiring, MCCs, Soft Starters, VFD’s etc.).
- Troubleshoot and repair control/communication networks within plant (Ethernet I/P, Network Switches, Fiber Optics, Ethernet and Serial Radio networks).
- Work safely around instrumentation and electrical systems.
- Understanding of basic plant operations.
- Journeyman Electrician certification required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- PLC and DCS experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of control valves, positioners and control loops.
- Knowledge of Ethernet Radio and Serial Radio networks.
- Solid understanding of low and medium voltage electrical equipment such as switch gears, Variable Frequency Drives, lighting contractors, and 24‑volt DCE control circuits.
- Computer skills:
Microsoft Word and Excel. - Willing to work overtime when necessary (not guaranteed).
- Must be able to pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
