Experienced Machinist

Job Description

Elite Industrial is an industrial electric motor repair, rebuild, and field service company in Gillette, WY. Our machine shop is 100% manual: lathes, mills, grinders, and boring work. Every job is different. No production runs. Real repair work that keeps mines, plants, and oilfield operations running.

What You'll Do:

• Repair and build motor and pump shafts from bar stock, including turning journals, cutting keyways, and threading
• Machine bearing fits to tight tolerances (tenths, not thousandths)
• Sleeve and re-bore bearing housings and end bells
• Make one-off replacement parts from worn samples, sketches, or prints
• Work with our winders, mechanics, and field techs to get customer equipment back in service fast
• Maintain your machines and follow all shop safety procedures

What We're Looking For:

• 2+ years of manual lathe and mill experience. You can set up and run a job without a program.
• Comfortable holding tight tolerances with mics, bore gauges, and indicators
• Repair or maintenance machining background is a big plus (motor shop, mine shop, rebuild shop)
