Bookkeeper

My client are a firm of Chartered Accountants looking for a hardworking, motivated individual to join our bookkeeping team.

Key Responsibilities will involve:

· Providing bookkeeping services, both monthly and quarterly, support to our portfolio of clients

· Bank reconciliation and preparation of VAT returns

· Preparation of CIS contractor returns

· Dealing with VAT and CIS registrations and de-registrations

· Collaboration with team members to meet filing deadlines

Knowledge of Sage
50 would be preferable but on-the-job software specific training will be provided, where required.

Experience with Sage Business Cloud accounting, Xero and Quick Books would be useful, however not necessary. You should also be comfortably familiar with Excel and its possible uses for both administration and bookkeeping purposes.

Good verbal and written communication skills are required as you will be dealing with clients face-to-face, on the phone and via emails.

You will be working in our office in Rainham, Kent.

Our office hours are 9.00am to 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday and 9.00am to 4.30pm on Fridays, with 1 hours lunch. We are looking to recruit for 35 hours per week.

Experience:

· Bookkeeping: 2 year

Salary and benefits:

· Salary: £24,000–£28,000, depending on experience.
