Take overall responsibility for the safe, efficient and compliant operation of the CHP plant. Act as the Senior Authorised Person (SAP) for electrical systems and switching operations. Lead and develop operations, maintenance and engineering teams to achieve high performance standards. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental and engineering regulations. Manage statutory inspections, Written Schemes of Examination and asset integrity programmes.
Oversee planned outages, maintenance activities and contractor performance. Drive plant reliability, efficiency and availability through effective operational management. Manage site budgets, expenditure and operational performance against agreed targets. Ensure environmental permits and compliance obligations are maintained at all times. Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency and commercial performance. Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following:
Fully qualified Senior Authorised Person (SAP), any High Voltage switching experience is a bonus. Degree, HNC or HND qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. BOAS Manager accreditation and extensive experience managing industrial boiler and steam systems highly desirable, or relevant hands on experience Strong knowledge of statutory regulations including PSSR, LOLER, DSEAR, PUWER, Electricity at Work Regulations and Environmental Permitting requirements.
