Locum Family Practice Physician – Gilroy, CA
Pay: $135–$150/hour
Immediate opening for a locum Family Practice physician.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages in an outpatient setting.
- Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, including infections, allergies, respiratory conditions, and more.
- Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed.
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans.
- Provide preventative care services, including immunizations, cancer screenings, and health education.
- Perform minor procedures such as skin biopsies, joint injections, and wound care (within state regulations).
- Collaborate with specialists when needed to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
- Engage in continuing education to stay current on family medicine advancements.
- Strong clinical knowledge across medical conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in physical examinations and minor procedures.
- Critical thinking and decision‑making for diagnosis and management.
- Effective time management and organization to handle patient workload.
- Preventive care expertise and patient education.
- Adaptability in a fast‑paced environment.
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Residency training in family medicine accredited by ACGME or AOA.
- Board certification in family medicine (ABFM or AOA).
- Active and unrestricted medical license in California.
Preferably at least one year of primary care experience.
Additional Notes- Temporary assignment lasting weeks or months to fill staffing gaps.
