Qualifications- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Must be able to operate POS/Cash Register.
- Must pass background check (Criminal History and Sex Off).
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers and donors.
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks and carts.
- Ability to operate a telephone.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
- Ensure Customer/Donor needs are met by greeting all Customers and Donors and providing prompt, courteous assistance.
- Stock priced items ready to be merchandised on the sales floor in accordance with Salvation Army Standards.
- Sort donations to be processed in accordance with Salvation Army Standards.
- Assist in store maintenance, keeping it clean, neat and organized.
- Perform cleaning duties as assigned (windows, dusting, bathrooms, stockroom, breakroom, donation area, etc.).
- Follow all POS/Cash Register Policies and TSA procedures.
- Maintain safety standards and report hazards to management.
- Follow all HR policies and procedures.
- Attend required monthly store meetings.
- Follow dress code policy.
- Work flexible shift schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Receive, unload, and stock incoming inventory items accurately and efficiently.
- Provide quality assurance by inspecting products for defects and damages.
- Maintain and clean the donation trailer/pod at shift start and end.
- Assist donors with vehicle removal and receipt issuance.
- Separate and sort donated material into proper containers and stack as instructed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Stores operate seven days a week. Part‑time associates may work any shift, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Employees must be flexible to ensure adequate store coverage.
