Operation Technology Specialist at Agnico Eagle

Join Agnico Eagle as an Operation Technology Specialist focusing on PLCs, AVEVA systems, and industrial process control. Collaborate with the IT team to optimize network performance and enhance operational efficiency.

This role reports to the Supervisor of Operation Technology within the IT Department. You will leverage over five years of experience in Advanced Process Controls and work collaboratively to meet departmental goals. Your responsibilities will include programming PLCs, maintaining SCADA systems, and contributing to system documentation and improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and program components for process control systems

• Deploy solutions for industrial process control issues

• Develop PLC-HMI templates and support technicians

• Maintain and optimize IT-OT networks and server fleet

• Advise management on technical actions and decisions

Requirements:

• Over 5 years of experience in process controls

• Proficient with AVEVA and SCADA systems

• Advanced knowledge of server configurations

• Ability to read and develop programming logic (PLC/HMI)

• Experience in Mineral Processing or similar fields
