Join the marine engineering team at Bay Ferries Limited as an Oiler, supporting safe operations aboard the MV Fundy Rose. This full-time, seasonal position requires skills in machinery monitoring and maintenance.
As an Oiler, you will report to the Engineer of the Watch while ensuring the efficient operation of the vessel's equipment. Positioning yourself within the Engineering Department, you will monitor engine room machinery, assist in maintenance tasks, and maintain essential supplies. Your proactive role enhances safety and reliability in marine transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Stand engine room watches monitoring machinery performance
• Support Engineers in efficient operation and maintenance tasks
• Maintain lubrication and cooling oil supplies
• Clean and paint machinery spaces and ship tanks
• Participate in safety drills and training sessions
Requirements:
• Valid Candidate Document Number (CDN)
• Seafarer's Medical Certificate and Engine Room Rating Certificate
• STCW Basic Safety and Advanced Fire Fighting
• Commitment to safe work practices
• Experience on passenger vessels is an asset
