Overview

Retail Store Management Trainee - 2950 s role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in a fast-tracking into a Store Management position. This role requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience. Pay rate: $16.95 to $23.95 per hour.

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. A Store Manager Trainee leads day-to-day store operations in partnership with the Store Manager, develops store employees, recruits and retains top talent, maximizes financial goals, and manages Customer Relations. This role sets the tone for a customer-centric environment.

Responsibilities include analyzing store financial statements to meet goals, committing to asset protection programs, promoting the business, and targeting new customer acquisitions. Employees will work with jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. This position offers an hourly wage plus potential commission and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay varies by location, qualifications, and experience.

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers professionally and addressing issues promptly.
• Monitor and assist in training Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
• Recruit top talent through company-prescribed channels.
• Open and close the store, manage cash drawers and merchandise, and protect assets.
• Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and secured loans.
• Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
• Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
• Maintain operating standards to meet First Cash standards.
• Monitor loan qualifications and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of loans.
• Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
• Communicate clearly to ensure the store team understands the mission and profit objectives.
• Stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
• Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Other related duties as assigned.

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, etc.).
• Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearm certified.
• May be required to assist customers exterior to the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
• Minimum Age: 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Ability to work in multiple locations as needed; flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Store Manager Trainee will work 45+ hours per week; hours based on business needs.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and office machines.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; analytical skills; cash handling experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and have a strong work ethic and business sense.

Commission Plan Information
Store Manager Trainees have the potential to earn 2-8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Further details are provided during the interview process.
