Senior Paralegal – Employment Law
Duration: 6+ months contract (Contract to Hire Possible)
Location:
Portland, OR – Hybrid (Wednesday on-site)
Working hours M-F 8am-5pm
Job DescriptionThis position supports usual legal activities for a busy Employment Law attorney (75% of the time).
Support Litigation legal team (25% of the time).
Typical Duties- Provide experienced paralegal support on a wide range of matters including employment investigations and litigation, labor arbitrations, wildfire investigations and subpoenas, OSHA matters, ethics investigations, conducting witness interviews, and personnel file requests. Respond to data requests, determining scope of document search.
- Draft Legal Documents and Summaries – Prepare and finalize routine and special pleadings and prepare summaries of pleadings, as requested.
- Draft and prepare sections for inclusion in substantive motions and briefs for state regulatory proceedings.
- Provide summaries to attorneys of legal research, analyze legal research, and provide recommendations.
- Associate in paralegal studies or certification in paralegal studies.
- Advanced knowledge of legal terminology to interpret and draft standard legal documents.
- Working skill in using MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Intermediate skill in conducting legal research and organizing and summarizing information from divergent sources, including legal and non-legal reference sources with emphasis on electronic research.

Intermediate organization and prioritization skills. - Experience with eDiscovery/Document Production a plus.
