As an Associate-Director in the Compliance department, you will be in charge of one of the Monitoring team. Reporting directly to the Head AML Transaction Monitoring
- Vice-Director, you will be in charge of the supervision of the operational activities and the people management in accordance with your senior management.

Key responsibilities Operations management:
  • Lead and manage the Compliance Monitoring team, including task coordination, performance management, and professional development of team members;
  • Oversee compliance and AML reviews of crypto currency transfers, ensuring timely and accurate analysis of higher-risk transactions;
  • Oversee compliance and AML reviews of cash, securities and crypto currency transfers made by Financial Institutions, ensuring timely and accurate analysis of higher-risk transactions;
  • Supervise the handling of sanctions alerts, providing escalation and final validation as needed;
  • Supervise the investigation on potentially suspicious clients;
  • Drive the optimization of internal procedures, including drafting, reviewing, and updating internal policies and guidelines;
  • Represent Compliance in key regulatory and strategic projects, ensuring the monitoring function is embedded in business initiatives;
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management and front-line teams, offering clear and pragmatic compliance guidance.
Team Management:
  • Leading and supporting the Monitoring team:
    • Fostering a positive work atmosphere where employees feel motivated, valued, and connected to the team and the organization;
    • Promoting collaboration, trust, and cohesion among team members;
    • Addressing any potential conflicts among team members to your senior management and/or HR Partner;
    • Supporting employee growth through training, mentorship, coaching, and advancement opportunities.
  • Hiring:
    • Leading the recruitment process with your Talent Acquisition Partner;
    • Ensuring new hires are properly introduced to the team, the organization, its culture, policies, and their specific roles.
  • Performance Management: Setting performance expectations, providing feedback, conducting performance reviews, and addressing any performance issues.
  • Conducting under performance process with the help of your Senior Management and HR Partner.
  • University degree in Law, Economics, or a related field - a certification in Compliance Management is a strong asset;
  • Significant experience (minimum 5-7 years) in a Compliance function within the financial industry, with proven leadership and team management skills;
  • Fluent in English and French;
    German is a strong asset;
  • Strong analytical mindset and structured, methodical approach;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills;
  • Collaborative leader, comfortable working in a multicultural, dynamic, and tech-driven environment.
