Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

  • Plant safety and operations on a day‑to‑day basis
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers
  • Establish production work schedules
  • People development activities such as hiring, training, developing and coaching staff
  • Serve as a role model, support and ensure compliance with all safety and environmental policies and practices
  • Support manager in long‑range planning and budgeting
  • Work closely with commercial team to keep them informed when nonferrous commodities need to be sold
  • Forecast and schedule nonferrous shipments to end consumers
  • Coordinate the transfer of nonferrous material between RMR locations for processing
  • Conduct monthly inventory
  • Maintain and build upon retail customer and supplier relationships in the purchasing of non‑ferrous metals in a volume growth orientated cycle
