Glasgow State Nursing Facility (GSNF) may be the place for you. We are a state‑of‑the‑art 100-bed long‑term care nursing facility for individuals with mental illness or intellectual disabilities.

COVID-19 vaccination is recommended.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Installs, repairs and maintains air conditioning, heating, refrigeration, ventilation, electrical systems and related equipment, including all kitchen and laundry equipment. Maintains all electrical code compliance and paperwork.
• Utilizes and maintains the maintenance of mechanical equipment utilized in the maintenance and upkeep of buildings, painting equipment, carpentry work, grounds maintenance to include: mowers, weed eaters, edger's etc. Participates in On‑Call maintenance rotation.
• Assists in maintenance and repair of electrical plumbing and sewage operations. Keeps basic records of maintenance and provides technical assistance in maintenance and operations.
• Attends all training sessions as indicated.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: NONE

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR

SKILLS:

Two years of experience in the maintenance or repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems.

Substitute EDUCATION for

EXPERIENCE:

Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be 18 years of age.

May be required to take care of emergency repairs twenty‑four hours a day.

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
