Our UK and Ireland (UKI) Assurance team is a dynamic, fully integrated unit that collaborates across borders to tackle critical issues that drive our clients  success. As an auditor at EY, you will play a pivotal role in providing independent verification of our clients’ adherence to accounting principles. We are expanding our Audit teams across the UK, with exciting vacancies in:
Birmingham, Cambridge, Edinburgh, Luton, Manchester, Newcastle, Reading, and Southampton.

Your primary focus will be delivering exceptional audit services to our clients. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

• Lead fieldwork and keep engagement managers informed on audit progress.
• Provide accurate reporting on financial statements, offering valuable insights into accounting and reporting matters.
• Execute audit processes and document higher-risk areas to enhance your technical and business acumen.
• Engage with clients, delivering authoritative advice and professionalism throughout transactions.
• Continuously develop your understanding of current market trends to stay ahead.

• Proven experience in delivering and reporting on external audits.
• Experience in UK Government & UK Public Sector.
• Full qualification as a chartered accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CA, ICAS, ICAEW) or an international equivalent.
• Exposure to non-financial services industries.

• Knowledge of current market issues in the UK.
• Familiarity with SOX 404 and application of UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Project management or team supervisory experience.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
