Position: Interim Senior Financial Accountant

Duration: 6 months / potential to extend

Location: Glasgow / hybrid

Day rate: Up to £400 p/d (inside IR35)

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting a well-known Scottish organisation to recruit an Interim Senior Financial Accountant.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Leading the delivery of statutory accounts and periodic financial reporting
Providing technical accounting expertise across IFRS and UK GAAP
Managing balance sheet integrity, controls, reconciliations, and ledger governance
Coordinating year-end processes and external audit activity
Maintaining accounting policies and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Supporting tax, VAT, payroll-related reporting, and pension accounting matters
Managing and developing members of the finance team
Driving continuous improvement of finance processes and controls

The Ideal Candidate:

Qualified Accountant (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA or eqv.)
Strong technical ability (IFRS, VAT, Payroll, etc.)
Available at short notice
