Principal Sim Corp Investment Accounting / NAIC Consultant

Long-Term Contract | September 2026 – December 2027 | US Eastern Time Zone

We are looking for an experienced Principal Sim Corp Investment Accounting Consultant to support a long-term investment accounting programme for a major financial services organisation.

This is a senior, hands-on functional role requiring strong Sim Corp investment accounting and General Ledger expertise
, with particular emphasis on accounting framework configuration, OTC instruments, NAIC reporting and end-of-period accounting processes
.

• Support the expansion and enhancement of the client's investment accounting framework
  .
• Continue the configuration and development of General Ledger (GL) structures and accounting processes
  .
• Configure and support accounting treatment for OTC instruments
  , including the associated journal framework.
• Support NAIC / statutory investment reporting requirements.
• Configure and validate end-of-period adjustments
  , including accruals and GL/non-GL adjustments.
• Support accounting requirements and configuration relating to wash sales
  .
• Analyze existing accounting processes and translate business requirements into appropriate Sim Corp solutions.
• Work closely with investment accounting, operations, technology and implementation stakeholders.
• Provide senior-level functional guidance and help ensure accounting configuration meets business and regulatory requirements.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Sim Corp / Sim Corp Dimension
  .
• Strong functional expertise in Investment Accounting
  .
• Deep understanding of General Ledger configuration, accounting rules and journal frameworks
  .
• Experience with the accounting treatment of OTC instruments
  .
• Knowledge of end-of-period accounting
  , including accruals and accounting adjustments.
• Experience with NAIC reporting / US statutory investment accounting is highly desirable.
• Understanding of wash-sale accounting and associated requirements
  .
• Strong consulting skills with the ability to operate independently at Principal Consultant level.
• Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
