This position offers exposure to management accounting, payroll accounting, VAT, CIS, Corporation Tax and multi-currency reporting, whilst providing the opportunity to improve processes and support key business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
* Complete balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments.
* Review and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
* Manage multi-currency reporting and FX movements.
* Maintain HMRC reconciliations and support VAT, CIS, PAYE and Corporation Tax compliance.
* Process payroll journals and related reconciliations.
* Produce weekly debtor and invoicing reports.
* Support year-end accounts, audits and statutory reporting.
* Liaise with external auditors, tax advisers and key stakeholders.
* Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and controls.
* Support the Head of Finance with ad hoc projects and reporting.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess
* Studying towards completing their professional qualification or be Qualified by Experience.
* Previous experience in a Management Accountant or similar role.
* Strong management accounting and balance sheet reconciliation experience.
* Good knowledge of VAT, CIS, PAYE and Corporation Tax.
* Experience using ERP systems such as SAP or similar.
* Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently, prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
