Crowe Watson Recruitment, a well regarded specialist in UK accountancy practice recruitment, is delighted to be supporting a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Glasgow as they look to appoint a Private Client Tax Associate Director. You will take ownership of a varied portfolio of high net worth individuals, families, trusts and owner managed business clients, providing expert personal tax advice and strategic planning.

Working closely with Partners, you will play a key role in shaping the growth of the private client tax offering, while mentoring and developing a talented team of tax professionals across the Glasgow office.

What is the day-to-day of the role:

  • Manage and develop a diverse portfolio of private client tax clients
  • Provide proactive advice on personal tax, trusts, estates and succession planning
  • Work closely with Partners to grow the private client tax offering
  • Lead, coach and inspire a high performing tax team
  • Oversee the quality and timely delivery of client work

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ATT, CTA, ACA, ACCA or ICAS qualified, or equivalent
  • Proven experience managing a private client tax portfolio
  • Strong technical knowledge of personal tax and trusts
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • Previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
