Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant

Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit an Accountant on a permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to join a busy and supportive finance team in a broad accounting role. Working closely with senior finance colleagues and stakeholders across the business, you will play a key role in delivering accurate financial information, supporting reporting processes and maintaining strong financial controls.
The successful candidate will be involved in a range of financial activities, gaining exposure to management accounting, reporting and process improvement while continuing their professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for a varied client portfolio.

• Assist with the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.

• Complete VAT returns and ensure compliance with relevant deadlines.

• Support the preparation of corporation tax computations and returns.

• Review and maintain accurate financial records for clients.

• Liaise directly with clients to gather information and respond to queries.

• Support month-end and year-end accounting processes.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes and deliver added value to clients.

• Work closely with colleagues across the practice to ensure deadlines are met.

• Assist with ad hoc assignments and client projects as required.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

• Part-qualified ACCA, ICAS or equivalent.

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.

• Experience preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients.

• Knowledge of VAT returns and management accounts preparation.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

• Good Excel and accounting software skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organisational and time management skills.

• Confident communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
