Overview
Position: Document Controller/Administrator
Job Type: Contract 12 months
Hours: 8 hours per day Monday to Friday
We are seeking a Document Controller / Administrator to support an industrial construction project, ensuring all project documentation is managed efficiently and administrative processes run smoothly. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and providing administrative support to the project team.
Key Responsibilities- Document Control
- Manage and maintain all project documentation, ensuring accurate filing and version control.
- Process and distribute documents according to company and client requirements.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, ISO standards, and project procedures.
- Track and log incoming and outgoing documents, maintaining a clear audit trail.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, method statements, and technical documents.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to ensure documentation is up to date.
- Provide general administrative support to the construction team, including scheduling meetings and preparing correspondence.
- Support with staff bookings hotels, cars etc
- Maintain registers for drawings, permits, contracts, and site records.
- Assist with procurement documentation, invoices, and purchase orders.
- Liaise with site personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth communication.
- Manage document archiving and retrieval in line with company policies.
- Previous experience in a Document Controller or Administrator role within construction, engineering, or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of document management systems
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Training will be provided on specific client software.
