As a Records Assistant, you will work in the Records Management team within the City Archives and Records Management department, reporting to the Records Manager. You’ll play an essential role in managing the Council’s non‑current records and making a visible, lasting difference. This could involve:
- Supporting the Council and Glasgow Family to manage their modern records
- Supporting national public enquiries, schemes, Data Protection and Freedom of Information requests

- Experience of customer focus and delivery of effective customer services
- Previous experience of clerical and administrative work
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to handle, move, pack, store and transport archives and records
Holiday: 30 days’ holiday (plus 6.5 public holidays for full‑time staff, increasing to 35 days after 5 years of service). Extra holiday can be purchased.
