Administrative Assistant

The Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences (SIPBS) seeks to appoint a competent and enthusiastic Administrative Assistant with excellent organisational skills to join our busy team. The successful candidate will join the administration teaching team which provides support to the departments’ UG & PGT programmes, in particular our Biomedical Sciences programmes. In SIPBS we have approximately 1800 UG and PGT students.

To be considered for this role you will be IT literate with experience of Microsoft packages. Previous experience of student administration in the Higher or Further Education Sectors and knowledge of student record and admissions systems would be advantageous.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, possess good team working skills and be able to work with accuracy and attention to detail. You should also be experienced in organising your own workload and have the ability to work under pressure, juggling multiple tasks and deadlines, use your own initiative and able to cope with rapidly changing circumstances. The successful candidate will also assist with departmental timetabling using SPlus and Enterprise software.
