TheIP Administrator Role As a IP Administrator, you will be working as part of a collaborative trademark support team, you'll manage a broad range of trademark administration and formalities, taking ownership of routine matters while supporting more complex work under guidance. You'll work closely with fee earners, paralegals, accounts and renewals teams to deliver an exceptional service to clients. IP Administrator
Key Responsibilities Managing trademark administration tasks from a shared workflow Preparing correspondence for clients, intellectual property offices and overseas associates Filing and progressing UK and international trademark and design applications Processing official correspondence and monitoring critical deadlines Managing team inboxes and maintaining accurate electronic records Completing trademark formalities and preparing supporting documentation Coordinating trademark searches and preparing reports for clients Assisting with oppositions, official actions, recordals and other prosecution matters Preparing exhibits and documentation for formal proceedings Supporting UDRP and domain name dispute filings Assisting with invoicing, cost estimates and general administrative processes Providing support to new team members on departmental procedures where required About You You'll be an organised administrator with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a consistently high standard of work.
Ideally, you'll have:
Previous experience in an administrative, legal secretarial or trademark support role Excellent typing, document production and proofreading skills Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook, with working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills A proactive, collaborative and positive approach to teamwork The ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and clients A commitment to accuracy, confidentiality and excellent client service
Experience with in intellectual property or knowledge of trademark formalities would be advantageous, as would familiarity with Inprotech and a CITMA qualification, although these are not essential.
