Job Introduction:
We are looking for a professional and customer-focused Reception Administrator Operative to join our team at HMRC Glasgow RC.
This is a varied role combining reception, administration, customer service, cleaning, porter and general facilities duties
. You will be one of the first points of contact for visitors and will help ensure the building is safe, clean and welcoming.
- Provide a professional and welcoming reception service to visitors and customers.
- Answer telephone calls, respond to emails and complete general administrative tasks.
- Carry out cleaning duties and maintain high standards across the site.
- Support meeting room set-ups and the preparation of facilities.
- Assist with porter duties, including moving furniture and equipment.
- Issue keys to clients and colleagues in line with site procedures.
- Replenish refreshments and maintain coffee areas.
- Operate the till and follow cash-handling and profit protection procedures.
- Provide support to the mailroom when required.
- Report maintenance issues, hazards and faulty equipment promptly.
- Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety, COSHH and site-specific procedures.
- Maintain excellent personal presentation and customer service standards.
- Assist with securing the building at night where required.
- Support the wider team with additional duties and provide holiday/sickness cover when needed.
Essential

- Able to communicate effectively with customers, visitors and colleagues.
- Reliable and able to work as part of a team.
- Able to follow procedures and maintain high Health & Safety standards.
- Organised, with good attention to detail.
- Flexible and willing to support different areas of the operation.
- Able to work independently and use their own initiative.
- Previous experience in reception, customer service, facilities, cleaning, hospitality or administration.
- Experience working in a busy corporate or public-facing environment.
