Medical Receptionist / Administrator - Full-Time & Part-Time
Our busy, friendly GP practice in Glasgow's Southside is looking for both a full-time and a part-time Medical Receptionist/Administrator to join our team.
The full-time position is 37 hours per week, worked over 4 or 5 days.
The part-time position is 24 hours per week, with a shift pattern of 9.30am-6.00pm on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.
The successful candidates will have excellent communication skills, be motivated and willing to learn. We are looking for people who can work confidently in a busy environment, effectively prioritise their workload and use their own initiative.
Previous medical reception experience would be an advantage, and a working knowledge of EMIS and Docman would be helpful, but neither is essential as full training will be provided.
As a Medical Receptionist/Administrator within our practice, you will have a patient-focused and professional telephone manner and the ability to remain calm and helpful under pressure.
Duties will include:
- Welcoming and assisting patients at reception
- Taking requests for home visits
- Answering telephone calls
- Processing prescription requests
- Carrying out a range of general administrative duties
