Planner
- Glasgow
- Salary up to £30,000 DOE

We are looking for an organised and proactive Planner to support the successful delivery of a growing portfolio of renewable energy installation programmes.

The role will involve managing schedules, coordinating site activity, maintaining accurate project records and providing clear progress reporting to ensure projects remain on programme. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong coordination or project administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with multiple moving parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate installation schedules across multiple live renewable energy programmes, aligning surveyor, installer and contractor availability with project deadlines.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to sequence works efficiently and, where practical, group projects geographically to minimise travel and downtime.
  • Confirm site access, customer appointments and pre-installation requirements ahead of scheduled works.
  • Maintain and regularly update programme schedules, ensuring changes, delays and completed works are accurately reflected.
  • Prepare, issue and track job packs, ensuring required documentation, permissions and compliance information are in place before works commence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project records, including job information, timesheets, installation evidence and completion documentation.
  • Follow up outstanding documentation with surveyors, installers and contractors and escalates persistent issues where required.
  • Support the preparation and collation of MCS, grant and funder-related documentation ahead of submission deadlines.
  • Ensure project records are complete, accurate and readily accessible throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Escalate customer concerns or complaints promptly to the appropriate Project Manager.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support smooth project delivery.
  • Produce regular project and programme progress reports covering scheduled, completed and outstanding works.
  • Maintain accurate project data and ensure information is consistent across relevant systems.
  • Support Project Managers with data, reports and administrative packs for client meetings, project reviews, tenders and funder reporting.
  • Identify discrepancies or gaps in project information and work with relevant teams to resolve them.
  • Assist with the preparation of project tenders, including the collation of supporting documentation, method statements and pricing information.
  • Support the mobilisation of new projects and programmes by establishing job tracking, documentation and reporting processes.
  • Assist Project Managers with general project administration throughout the project lifecycle, from mobilisation through to completion and handover.
Person Specification
  • Previous experience in project coordination, project support or project administration.
  • Experience with in construction, installation, engineering, property, retrofit or renewable energy would be advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple schedules, deadlines and stakeholders.
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when dealing with project records and compliance documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A professional and confident approach when dealing with customers, contractors and internal teams.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • The ability to learn and use project management and job-tracking systems quickly.
  • A proactive approach to identifying scheduling conflicts, resource issues and potential project delays.
  • The ability to remain calm and methodical when managing a high volume of live projects and changing priorities.
