Our client, a well-established and reputable automotive retail group in Glasgow, is seeking a skilled MOT Tester to join their busy branch.   • Competitive basic salary of up to £34,000, dependent on experience

Duties of the MOT Tester:
  • Conduct MOT tests accurately and efficiently, adhering to DVSA standards and legal requirements
  • Perform thorough vehicle inspections to identify repairs, maintenance, and safety issues
  • Complete all necessary documentation and maintain detailed records for each vehicle tested as an MOT Tester
  • Explain test findings and recommendations clearly to customers, ensuring excellent customer service
  • Assist with minor repairs and general maintenance tasks as required
  • Ensure all vehicle movements within the workshop are performed safely and efficiently
Requirements:
  • Valid MOT Tester qualification, ideally with recent DVSA approval
  • Proven experience performing MOT tests, preferably within a dealership or independent workshop
  • NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent is advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence, as vehicle movement is part of the position
  • Strong understanding of vehicle safety standards and legal requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Motivated to further develop skills and progress within a leading automotive retailer
