As an MOT Tester, you will play a key role in the workshop, carrying out MOT tests, vehicle health checks, servicing and repairs while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and customer service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out MOT tests in line with DVSA requirements.
- Completing vehicle health checks using the latest technology.
- Conducting pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
- Carrying out servicing and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Inspecting vehicle lights, tyres and mechanical and electrical components.
- Identifying additional work and reporting recommendations.
- Completing minor repairs and fitting accessories where required.
- Conducting road tests to ensure repairs have been completed successfully.
- Maintaining accurate job cards and completing all relevant paperwork.
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent experience.
- A valid MOT Tester licence.
- Previous experience as an MOT Tester, Vehicle Technician or Vehicle Mechanic.
- Experience working in a dealership & independent garage.
- A full and valid UK driving licence.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.
- A self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A willingness to develop your technical skills and undertake further training.
