Role Summary

Reporting to the Accreditation Venue Manager, the Accreditation Venue Deputy Manager will support the planning and delivery of accreditation operations at an assigned venue during Games‑time. This role will assist with the management of the Venue Accreditation Centre (VAC), oversee daily processes, and help ensure accredited client groups can access the venue smoothly and securely.

Working as part of the wider accreditation operations network, the Accreditation Venue Deputy Manager will collaborate closely with the Accreditation Venue Manager and other functional areas, such as Venue Management, Security, Workforce, Sport, and Technology, to deliver efficient, secure, and consistent accreditation services that contribute to successful venue operations.

The position is initially contracted for 37.5 hours per week (with a 30-minute lunch break), with office attendance aligned to the Organising Company’s working pattern. During the Games‑time operational period, shift patterns will apply and may include evenings and weekends.

  • Maintain secure handling and accurate recording of accreditation materials and data.
  • Act as a point of contact for accreditation‑related queries, liaising with venue teams and other stakeholders as required.
  • Support pre‑opening preparations, including set‑up, inventory checks, equipment testing, and readiness activities.
  • Contribute to daily briefings, reporting, and operational updates to the Accreditation Venue Manager.
  • Assist with post‑event decommissioning, equipment return, and system close‑out.
  • Promote a collaborative, inclusive, and positive work environment within the VAC team, supporting staff welfare and engagement.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Accreditation Management Systems (AMS) is beneficial.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, and in fast‑paced event conditions.
Competencies
  • Team‑focused and skilled in building cooperative relationships across stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Clear and professional communicator, both verbally and in writing.
Behaviours
  • Upholds the values of Glasgow 2026, fostering inclusion and respect within the team.
