Eden Scott is delighted to be working with a leading financial services organisation to recruit a motivated Business Analyst to join a growing change and transformation team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in financial services, operations, project support, or business analysis who is looking to further develop their career within a complex and fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of multiple projects, working closely with project managers, subject matter experts, technology partners and third-party providers.

As a Business Analyst, you will support project activity by gathering, documenting and analysing business requirements, helping to ensure projects are delivered effectively and efficiently.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting project delivery by capturing business needs, user stories and data requirements in a clear and structured manner.
  • Gathering and documenting requirements through discussions with stakeholders, project managers, technology teams and external partners.
  • Producing and maintaining process maps and supporting documentation that outline current and future-state processes, risks, dependencies and areas requiring further clarification.
  • Assisting with the planning and facilitation of workshops and working sessions, documenting key outcomes, actions and next steps.
  • Supporting engagement with third-party providers to clarify requirements, manage questions and responses, and facilitate effective communication across delivery teams.
  • Identifying process inefficiencies, inconsistencies and gaps, raising recommendations and observations for further review.
  • Contributing to operational readiness planning and target operating model documentation.
  • Maintaining project action logs, risk registers, issues and decision trackers, ensuring appropriate follow-up and escalation where required.
  • Preparing high-quality written updates, analysis, summaries and findings for project stakeholders.
  • Applying a logical and organised approach to analysis, documentation and project support activities.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 1–2 years' experience within financial services, operations, change, business analysis or a related environment.
  • A basic understanding of business analysis techniques, including requirements gathering, documenting user needs and business processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage actions, risks, priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence to ask questions, challenge constructively and clearly articulate findings.
  • The ability to build effective working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach with a willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Exposure to project delivery, change initiatives or PMO environments.
  • An understanding of data capture, analysis or translating business requirements into structured information would be advantageous.
  • Experience with process mapping, action tracking, risk logs, meeting minutes or requirements documentation would be beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity and a practical problem-solving mindset.

The successful candidate will be:

  • Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to manage changing priorities across multiple projects and work streams.
  • A self-starter who can work independently while knowing when to seek input and guidance from colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Positive, energetic and creative in their approach to problem-solving.
  • Driven, enthusiastic and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.
