Ofgem is on an ambitious transformation journey. Within the Digital, Data and Security Services (DDSS) directorate, we are strengthening our Digital Portfolio capability to better manage demand, improve governance and support data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

As a Digital Portfolio Analyst
, you will play a key role in shaping how demand for digital initiatives is captured, assessed and prioritised. You will oversee the Digital Portfolio pipeline, run the Demand Management process, and provide analysis and insight to support investment decisions. Working across teams and stakeholders, you will help ensure the portfolio is aligned to strategic priorities and delivers value for consumers.

This is a highly collaborative and insight-driven role within a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, engaging stakeholders and supporting decision-making.

You will be responsible for:
  • Managing the intake and progression of New Work Requests (NWRs through the Demand Management process
  • Collaborating with business areas to identify, shape, categorise and assess potential projects and programmes
  • Maintaining and improving the New Work Request tool, processes and reporting
  • Chairing the weekly Demand Review meeting and facilitating the Demand Forum with SMEs and Team Leads
  • Supporting governance by preparing materials and providing recommendations for Demand Board
  • Conducting Rapid Impact Assessments (RIA) to evaluate business value, priority, complexity and urgency
  • Producing reporting and analysis on portfolio demand, pipeline flow and overall portfolio position
  • Using digital tools and data analysis to generate insights that inform decision-making
  • Engaging with a wide range of stakeholders across DDSS and the wider business
  • Supporting the Head of Digital Portfolio Office in delivering a responsive and effective service
We are looking for:

A customer service mindset, you will understand the vital role of technology to the organisation and a good understanding of the landscape of enterprise services, platforms and technologies.

You will be confident in communicating with colleagues at any and all levels. Accustomed to working across business areas, technologies and projects, you will be adept at multitasking.

Experienced in managing a technology demand process, you will have the ability to rapidly assess inbound requests, conduct impact assessments to inform decision-making and evaluate priority. You will be confident using analysis and evaluation methodologies to assess inbound demand in terms of priority, size, urgency and complexity.

You will have experience of Demand Governance activities – facilitating demand meetings, tracking and monitoring progress.
