Product and Proposition Manager - Financial Assistance

Join us as a Product & Proposition Manager
- Financial Assistance Lifecycle Strategy, where you will focus on technology transformation and shape end-to-end customer journeys for customers experiencing financial difficulty, defining the support and solutions available to them. You will work closely with developers and cross-functional stakeholders, analyse product performance, identify and report issues, and actively contribute to scrum ceremonies and detailed design sessions to deliver impactful, customer-focused outcomes.

To be successful as a Product & Proposition Manager
- Financial Assistance Lifecycle Strategy, you should have:

• Strong AI and data-driven mindset, leveraging data, insights, and emerging technologies to inform decision-making, identify opportunities, and drive measurable business outcomes.

• Experience using data, MI, analytics and AI-powered tools to identify trends, forecast impacts, prioritise opportunities, and support strategic product and customer journey decisions.
• Ability to look at customer journeys and provide suggestions on how products can be improved based on internal and external market perspectives.

• Experience in project delivery end to end, including experience working against agile principles.
• Experience in building robust business cases against product propositions and measuring through to post-delivery benefits validation.
• Experience working in regulatory and compliance environment.
• Ability to manage and influence stakeholders up to Director level across cross-functional teams to support with decision-making.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

• Experience in collection and recoveries/Financial Assistance.
• Knowledge of multiple product types such as secured & unsecured, which may be revolving or non-revolving in nature.
• Experience in using SQL, SAS, Jira or Confluence.
• Agile accredited.
• Knowledge of impairment, risk weighted assets & operational expenditure metrics.

This role can be located in Glasgow, London, Manchester, or Northampton.

To manage and develop existing and new products and/or services; and where applicable, ownership of related customer and colleague journeys, develops the product strategy, drive change through Barclays execution teams, make key decisions in the product lifecycle and own associated outcomes for customers, colleagues and the bank, achieved through appropriate service level agreements, regulatory compliance, risk management and controls.

• Development of customer level strategies & solutions that are tailored to customers’ needs.
• Subject Matter Expert in the applicable Product/Proposition team and be able to confidently guide and advise stakeholders at all levels in the Bank on the application of existing and new products/propositions and related customer and colleague journeys.
• Development of product propositions, and/or service strategy, define the priorities for delivering the outcomes needed to deliver the strategy and lead execution of the priorities.
• Development of different commercial and business models through a strong understanding of the financial drivers of the P&L for the relevant segment/ proposition/ journey.
• Evaluation of the technical feasibility, legal compliance, and potential risks associated with the development and launch of the new product.
• Monitoring of market trends and analysis feedback from internal employees and target customers through prototypes, user testing sessions, and beta programs to identify areas for improvement to refine the product / process before launch.
