Strategy Director- The Role
The Strategy Director will lead the growth and capital investment agenda for the Scottish Event Campus (SEC), with a clear mandate: to conceive and shape the ideas, propositions and capex projects that establish SEC as a clear destination venue in Scotland across its Conference & Events (C&E) and Retail operations.
This is a conceptual and business-development role rather than an operational one. You will originate the bigger-picture growth ideas, translate them into robust, investable business cases, and work alongside key stakeholders - both within Levy and with the client - to take those concepts from vision through to funded, deliverable projects. You will report into and work closely with the Venue Director, who holds overall accountability for the venue and sponsors your agenda at senior level.
You will be high-profile within the growth and development community around SEC, working collaboratively with Levy UK & I’s central teams, the client’s development and planning functions, and external partners to deliver ambitious, long-term change.
Key Responsibilities Growth Strategy & Destination Vision- Develop and own the long-term growth strategy and destination-venue vision for SEC in Scotland, spanning Conference & Events and Retail.

- Identify and evaluate new revenue streams, partnerships and experiential retail concepts that support the destination-venue ambition.
- Translate market trends, customer insight and competitor activity across the Scottish and UK events landscape into forward-looking strategic concepts.
- Lead the development of capex business cases for growth and transformation projects, including feasibility studies, financial modelling and ROI analysis.
- Work with Levy’s design and build teams (including BUILT) and external architects and contractors to progress concepts from idea through to investment-ready proposals.
- Present strategic recommendations and capital investment business cases to the executive team and board, supported by data-driven insight.
- Track delivery of approved capex and growth projects against plan, adjusting the pipeline as opportunities and constraints evolve.
- Work alongside key project stakeholders within Levy (e.g. Business Transformation, Design & Build, Commercial teams) and the client’s development and planning functions to progress specific growth and capital initiatives.
- Build relationships with external partners relevant to SEC’s growth agenda — architects, contractors, sponsors, local authorities, planning…
