The Wernick Group, an independent manufacturer and supplier of Modular and Site Accommodation permanent and temporary Buildings, is seeking to appoint a Junior Group Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor.
This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic individual from a ‘hands on’ Trade or Technical Construction background, to develop their career.
Supporting Group Business activities around the UK is a core function, involving regular travel with overnight accommodation and meals provided.
LocationScotland & North East region, ideally based out of Glasgow. Other NE depots may be considered.

Key Responsibilities- Carrying out Health & Safety visits, inspections and audits at Wernick Group premises and Construction sites around the UK.
- Providing advice and assisting businesses to ensure operations are fully conversant and working in compliance with statutory obligations, policies and procedures.
- Providing internal HS & E training.
- Assist development of the Wernick Group H & S Management System and documentation for use by group businesses.
- Assist with PQQs, accreditations and registrations.
- Assist progressing projects of a Health, Safety or Environmental and technical nature.
- Assist Accident and Incident investigation.
- On-site experience within the Construction Industry at trade or technical level and in a Health & Safety position.
- Trade or technical qualifications and minimum NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate, CITB Site Safety Management Training Scheme Certificate, and relevant CSCS card.
- Other formal Health, Safety or Environmental, training or auditing qualifications would be advantageous but not essential.
- Must have a full driving licence.
- Be a good communicator, self-motivated and ambitious to succeed.
- Be willing to take ownership of workload.
- Have good administrative and report writing skills.
- Have a high standard of IT literacy in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
