AJ Connect are working with a Public Sector organisation who are looking to recruit a Clerk of Works to join the commercial property team. The role will initially be a 6-month contract which is likely to be extended or even made permanent for the right candidate.

As a Clerk of Works, you will work closely with the Senior Clerk of Works to deliver multiple commercial projects across the east Glasgow area. The role will be inside IR35.

• Conducting frequent site inspections to check the progress of multi-trades building works
• Reviewing technical design concepts during the outline design and detailed design phases.
• Assisting with weekly written progress reports and attending progress meetings
• Proactive communication with the contractor to detect possible problems and monitor the construction process
• Ensuring that the Contractor fulfils the contractual obligations.
• Complying with Health & Safety and relevant legislation

• An SVQ Level 3/HNC/Apprenticeship or equivalent in a construction-related subject
• Relevant site/contractor supervision or Clerk of Works experience
• It is preferable to be a member of the Institute of Clerks of Works – not essential
• Good communication skill and able to build and maintain relationships on site
• Experience with renovation of commercial projects
• Driving licence
