Senior Quantity Surveyor – House building Glasgow Competitive Salary  Car Allowance  Bonus  Excellent Benefits Contract Scotland is delighted to be working with a well-established and highly respected national house builder as they look to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Glasgow. The Role Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will take commercial responsibility for multiple housing developments from inception through to final account. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and internal teams. Key responsibilities will include:
Preparing and managing budgets and cost plans Procurement and management of subcontract packages Valuation of subcontractor applications and payments Cost reporting and forecasting Managing variations and final accounts Working closely with site and technical teams to drive commercial performance Supporting junior members of the commercial team where required What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the house building sector Essential experience within volume house building Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement and cost control Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills Ability to manage multiple developments simultaneously HND/Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline Strong communication and organisational skills What's On Offer Competitive salary package Car allowance or company car Performance-related bonus Pension and comprehensive benefits package Opportunity to join a successful and growing business Supportive and collaborative working environment Genuine long-term career progression opportunities If you are interested in hearing more about this opportunity, please apply with your most recent CV or contact Contract Scotland for a confidential discussion.
