The ideal candidate will be currently enrolled in a part‑time Graduate Apprenticeship degree in Construction Project Management—or a closely related construction discipline—at an accredited institution, and eager to apply their learning to real‑world projects.

You’ll be joining Soben at an exciting time, playing a key role in helping us achieve our ambitious growth targets. Supporting one of our key Construction clients in the region, you will be responsible for developing and implementing key procurement and commercial strategies across a range of projects in our business.

What you’ll do
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of construction projects
  • Support the development and maintenance of project programmes, schedules, and milestones
  • Assist in managing project documentation, including reports, trackers, and meeting minutes
  • Support risk identification and assist in maintaining the Project Risk Register
  • Contribute to project governance, reporting, and controls processes
  • Attend Client, Contractor, and Design Team meetings alongside senior colleagues and record actions and decisions
  • Monitor project progress and flag potential issues relating to programme, cost, or quality
  • Assist in the coordination of consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Support change control processes, including tracking variations and actions
  • Assist with site visits and inspections as required
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of project management templates and processes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
About You
  • Studying towards a degree in Construction Project Management or a related discipline
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to an appropriate level
  • An interest in construction methodologies, sustainability, and modern project delivery practices
  • Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
  • A proactive team player with a positive, can‑do attitude
  • Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Site or field experience is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
