HEAD OF INFRASTRUCTURE DELIVERY - SCOTTISH EVENT CAMPUS

Reports To: Director of Development and Infrastructure

Team: Development and Infrastructure

Contract: Permanent

Comprising the SEC Centre, SEC Armadillo and the OVO Hydro, the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) is Scotland's premier venue for events, gigs, conferences, and exhibitions. We enjoy an enviable reputation as one of Europe’s most prestigious venues with the OVO Hydro consistently ranked in the top 3 busiest venues in the world, attracting over 2 million visitors per year.

Responsibilities
  • Provide ownership of specific infrastructure projects.
  • Provide technical construction and surveying expertise throughout project development stages.
  • Lead and support the development of campus construction and refurbishment projects from inception through to delivery stage.
Key attributes

Our ideal candidate requires a strong background in construction, surveying or project delivery, with responsibility for supporting the development of refurbishment, infrastructure, public realm and new-build projects across the campus estate.

Our successful candidate will also have the following:

  • Degree-qualified in Construction Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Project Management or a related construction discipline.
  • Member of a relevant professional body:
    Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS);
    Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB);
    Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) - or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of construction project development, refurbishment and estate management processes.
  • Understanding of construction procurement, contract administration and project governance.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working within construction, surveying or capital project environments.
  • Demonstrable experience supporting or managing refurbishment, infrastructure or construction projects.
