Volantes Renewables Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading organisation delivering major infrastructure and energy projects across the UK. • Support the commercial team in ensuring project profitability, cash flow and cost control.
• Assist with applications for payment and credit control processes.
• Prepare and review income forecasts and pricing of project variations.
• Support the administration of change control procedures.
• Assist in identifying and managing commercial and project risks.
• Contribute to the production of Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs).
• Support cost‑to‑complete (CTC) reporting and forecasting.
• Upload and maintain commercial documentation in accordance with business procedures.
• Review weekly site records, allocation sheets and site diaries.
• Attend project progress meetings.
• Assist in producing monthly financial performance reports.
• Gain wider business knowledge by working alongside operational and project delivery teams.

• Ensure commercial policies and procedures are followed in accordance with current legislation.
• Support the achievement of commercial KPIs and business objectives.
• Work collaboratively with commercial and operational teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Promote best practice and collaborative working across projects.
• Support lean initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Encourage effective planning and communication between commercial and delivery teams.

We’re looking for a commercially minded individual who is organised, analytical and eager to build a successful career within the construction and infrastructure sectors.

• Degree, HND or HNC qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Working towards a recognised professional qualification (such as RICS or equivalent).
• Relevant post‑graduate or industry experience within a Quantity Surveying role.
• Good understanding of construction contracts and contractual procedures.
• Knowledge of commercial reporting, forecasting and cost management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Full UK driving licence.
