Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Project Surveyor to join our established London & East region to work on projects in the North of our region close to Bedford and Peterborough. These exciting new projects are due to commence at the end of this year but there is work to be done in the preconstruction stage first.

As the successful candidate, you will take ownership of commercial delivery on these projects from feasibility to completion. You will need strong contractual knowledge to provide commercial control of work packages throughout the project lifecycle whilst reporting accurately.

• Self‑sufficient in managing projects from preconstruction through to delivery
• Ability to control costs, prevent scope creep, and manage risk across all packages
• Strong understanding of contractual requirements and compliance.
• Experience with client invoicing, contract cost reporting, procurement, and supply chain management.
• Strong reporting skills, including Cost/Value reporting, cost‑to‑complete analysis and external financial forecasting.
• Experience with NEC and JCT contracts.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Bluebeam (or similar measurement tools)
• Proven procurement and subcontractor management experience.
• History of being confident and comfortable in a customer‑facing surveying role.
• Previous team leadership experience.
• Degree in Construction or a related field.
• Membership or working towards MCIOB or RICS.
