Head of Civils

Salary and Package - £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus company vehicle or car allowance, pension, annual leave and performance-related benefits.

As Head of Civils, you will play a key role in shaping the future direction of the business while overseeing the successful delivery of projects.

This well-established building and maintenance contractor delivers a wide range of construction, refurbishment, maintenance and civil engineering services throughout Scotland. Alongside its established construction operations, the business has developed a growing civils division supporting leading house builders with roads, drainage, Scottish Water remedial works, SUDS infrastructure and local authority handover projects.

The civils division is already delivering work for recognised house builders and has a healthy pipeline of ongoing projects. The business is now looking for an experienced leader to expand the division, develop new opportunities and build on existing client relationships. You ll have the backing of an established company with a strong reputation, experienced support teams and the freedom to influence the future growth of the civil engineering side of the business.

As Head of Civils, you will lead the operational and commercial development of the civil engineering division, ensuring projects are delivered safely, profitably and to a high standard while identifying opportunities for continued growth.

• Leading and developing the civil engineering division across Scotland.
• Growing turnover through existing relationships and new business opportunities.
• Managing operational delivery of groundworks, roads, drainage and infrastructure projects.
• Overseeing remedial works associated with residential developments, including roads, drainage and Scottish Water requirements.
• Working closely with house builders, local authorities and Scottish Water to ensure successful project completion and adoption.
• Managing project teams, supervisors, subcontractors and direct labour.
• Monitoring programme, budgets, quality and overall project performance.
