We are working with a long-established and highly respected civil engineering contractor to assist them in hiring a Sub-Agent for their growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Scotland. Working closely with the Site Agent and Project Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards, while developing your career within a supportive and progressive business.
Asthe Sub-Agent your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Supporting the Site Agent in the successful delivery of civil engineering and infrastructure projects.
- Managing day-to-day site activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements.
- Coordinating Site Engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain productivity and quality standards.
- Monitoring project progress, identifying risks, and implementing solutions to keep works on schedule.
- Assisting with project planning, resource management, cost control, and reporting requirements.
- Ensuring all health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures are adhered to while maintaining accurate site documentation.
- Previous experience as a Sub-Agent, Senior Site Engineer, or an experienced Site Engineer looking to progress within civil engineering or infrastructure.
- A sound understanding of NEC contracts, engineering principles, and construction methodologies.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage site teams and build positive client relationships.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple project demands.
- A relevant Civil Engineering qualification (HNC, HND, or Degree), together with SMSTS and CSCS certification. Temporary Works and First Aid qualifications would be advantageous.
