Project Manager, Construction Manager​/ Foreman, Site Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a highly successful Tier 1 contractor delivering a complex industrial refurbishment project near Glasgow. This is a technically demanding scheme requiring strong project leadership, sound commercial awareness and the ability to coordinate multiple work streams in a live and challenging environment.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for managing the project from a construction delivery perspective, working closely with the client, design team, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to ensure the works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

As Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading the delivery of a complex industrial refurbishment project from construction through to completion.
• Managing site-based teams, subcontractors and key project stakeholders.
• Coordinating civil, structural and associated building works.
• Ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Reviewing construction information, drawings, specifications and programme requirements.
• Managing short-term planning, project coordination and construction sequencing.
• Working closely with design, commercial, planning, procurement and health and safety teams.
• Monitoring progress and driving performance across the project team and supply chain.
• Identifying and resolving technical, logistical and delivery challenges.
• Maintaining strong client relationships and providing clear project updates.
• Ensuring project records, inspections, permits and quality documentation are maintained appropriately.

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager on major construction or refurbishment projects.
• A strong background working for a Tier 1 main contractor.
• Experience delivering complex industrial, infrastructure, manufacturing, energy or technically demanding refurbishment schemes.
• A good grounding in civil and structural construction works.
• The ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and construction programmes.
• Appropriate professional qualifications or memberships, such as MCIOB, MAPM or equivalent, would be advantageous.
